    Hello,

    I just wanted to introduce myself to the group. I recently got my Certificate for the Teaching Scholar Program in Washington University School of Medicine. I teach Cell Biology and Histology and would love to discuss new ideas on how to improve gusto learning in Zoom.

    Hi Alicia, just published a report a few months ago on using retrieval practice for teaching Histology and A&P I online for the past five years.  Check out

    http://www.e-mentor.edu.pl/artykul/index/numer/84/id/1464/ and I also have an earlier article published in 2008 on using formative assessment strategies for teaching Histology and also Human Biology online.  No Zoom in my classes as I began teaching Histology online in 2000 and now rely on use of retrieval practice as a mode of self learning in Histology.  Courses are all asynchronous in delivery and now enroll over 200 students per semester so it would be difficult to implement a time that everyone can meet.  Hope this helps.  I look forward to hearing how you utilize Zoom in your courses.

    Welcome, Alicia!
    Congratulations on your new certificate. I have been teaching histology labs this academic year using Google Meet, but will be making the switch to Zoom soon since our university just acquired a license. I think much of it will be the same in Zoom, but easier to use since we will be able to have breakout rooms instead of separate Google meet links for each group. Happy chat at any time.
