Hello and much belated New Year's Greetings!
A session titled: Sharing Resources for Integrated Education and Research - The Virtual Microscopy Database is scheduled for Sunday, April 23, 10:30 am – 12:00 pm (Room 178A)
Haviva, Michael and I will present global demands for such a resource, potential use in integrated curricula and finally, we'll reveal the VMD! VMD was created with the DHIG members' support and the AAA Innovation Program.
By way of an update, the VMD is in its final stage of development and we will start beta testing it in early February with those who expressed interest in donating their digital slide collections. We hope to release the VMD for global usage soon after beta testing is completed.

PS: An informal histology (DHIG) roundtable is still being planned & details on this session will be forthcoming in the next few weeks.
