Let's compile a list of (rare or need more variations of) tissues we'd like to see and share with each other here.
For the starters, here's my list of <g class="gr_ gr_266 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del" id="266" data-gr-id="266">tissues</g> that I have either never seen before or would like to see more of:
1. Clitoris
2. Skene glands
3. Bulbourethral glands
4. Vestibular (Bartholin) glands... read somewhere that it's equivalent to male bulbourethral glands... is this true?
5. Pharyngeal tonsils
6. Cardiac conduction structures
7. Prostates
8. Pineal glands
9. Parathyroid glands
10. Ileo-cecal junction
11. Optic nerve in cross-section (the Loma Linda image can't be magnified).
12. Vena cava at higher resolution (There is a nice image in the Drexel University collection, but resolution is not good enough to see the longitudinal smooth muscle cells in the tunica adventitia clearly.)
13. More heart slides with Purkinje fibers. We have a few, but their appearance differs widely.
14. All different types of ganglia
15. More CNS images (we have a lot of cerebellum and a few cerebrum slides, but not much of other CNS parts)
16. Epidermis with immune-stained Merkel and Langerhans cells
17. In general, more immunochemistry slides (e.g., anti-renin in the kidney cortext)
There's more but these are the ones I can think of at the moment off the top of my head. Please add on!
