Hi everyone,
Since we are sharing great, free resources, I wanted to jump in here to share one that was developed at VCU by Dr. John Bigbee and Dr. Alice Pakurar. Dr. Bigbee was my histology professor when I went through the Anatomy & Neurobiology graduate program back in 2005. At that time, we used an interactive digital histology CD-ROM, along with real slides. I recently joined the faculty at VCU in the Anatomy & Neurobiology Department, and was very impressed with the work that they have done over the past 10 years to transition to virtual slides online. In addition to the slides, there are textbook chapters --in an outline format--that correspond to each section. There is also a nice quiz option that students can use.
Here is the link:
https://digitalhistology.org/I hope others will find it useful in their teaching, especially in light of our current "virtual" teaching situation. Feel free to use and share!
Best,
Kelly
