Hello everyone,
I am an Assistant Professor at SIUE School of Dental Medicine, and I am responsible for the Histology and Oral Biology threads. Thanks to Jim Rhodes open license for a Virtual microscope software, I am implementing an Instructional strategy based on active learning which will include the use of the virtual microscope.
I am asking if anyone has access to histological slides related to any subject of oral biology, and is willing to lend them for a short period of time. I would like to borrow them to have them digitalized. The owner/school will be acknowledged and I will pay for mailing them to me and then to send them back. I am particularly looking for tooth support tissues, and it would be great if you have any on special staining for collagen, elastic fibers of oxytalan fibers.
I would like to get in touch with anybody teaching histology and oral biology in a dental school. This is my first year doing this, all my previous experience was in a Medical School, and I would love to know how you are organizing your curriculum and instructional strategies.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon,
Best regards,
Alicia
