University of Colorado School of Medicine

I am an educator, an educational researcher and a scholar in the field of Medical, Dental and Graduate education. I am a classically trained anatomist with additional expertise in cell/cancer biology, genetics, embryology, histology and pathology gained through my graduate training and work experience. With my knowledge base in multiple subdisciplines of Anatomy along with basic and clinical science background I strive to integrate and provide a comprehensive and stimulating learning experience for my students.

The overarching goal of my professional endeavor is to make anatomical sciences education impactful, accessible and long lasting. My approaches to achieving this goal include: 1) production of digital learning modules, resources and assessment tools; 2) improvement of the resources through evaluation and research in human-computer interaction; 3) high-yield textbook production; 4) dissemination of the resources and research findings through peer-reviewed publication and; 5) training of the new generation of anatomical scientists and educators.

Diversity and Inclusion

The board recently adopted a Diversity and Inclusion Plan and incorporated it into the AAA Strategic Plan. As part of the plan, AAA is working to ensure all members are represented in all its committees, and are supported equally in awards and other opportunities. The detailed information requested below would contribute to a better understanding of the demographic of the AAA members. Each choice is optional, and you may request that particular fields remain hidden in your public profile. Please be aware that all choices completed will be visible to AAA administrative staff. Thank you for helping us meet our goals for AAA diversity and inclusion.
