I am a cell biologist (keratinocytes are my favorite cells), currently working in the department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University of Iowa. I learned the field of human anatomy recently taking advantage of great mentors at my institution and the Anatomy Training Program sponsored by AAA. I currently do research on cell migration, wound healing and craniofacial development,  and teach anatomy, histology and embryology to a diverse group of students.
I love to travel, take pictures, make jewelery, and knit. I enjoy volley ball and bike riding.

Diversity and Inclusion

The board recently adopted a Diversity and Inclusion Plan and incorporated it into the AAA Strategic Plan. As part of the plan, AAA is working to ensure all members are represented in all its committees, and are supported equally in awards and other opportunities. The detailed information requested below would contribute to a better understanding of the demographic of the AAA members. Each choice is optional, and you may request that particular fields remain hidden in your public profile. Please be aware that all choices completed will be visible to AAA administrative staff. Thank you for helping us meet our goals for AAA diversity and inclusion.
