I definitely think such a shared repository would be a good idea. It would
1. save everyone redoing work
2. allow the best slides to become available to everyone
3. allow students to see the variation on a topic.
I would however coin that such a repository preferably should be
international.
Re. copyrights, to make it viable and workable I think the submitted slides should be under an open license, the most common for this is a
Creative Commons license.
