Hello all! Thank you for participating in the survey to determine a new and more concise name for our project. We also want to thank those of you who suggested alternate and creative names.
In the end, the name that received the most votes (and we think that it clearly conveys its purpose) was:
Virtual Microscopy Database (VMD).
In addition to the new name, I am happy to report that we are making a headway in terms of the website development - the VMD team (Haviva Goldman, Michael Hortsch and myself) had a virtual meeting today to draft the content of the site and how it should be laid out for intuitive navigation. We will be soliciting your feedback and help along the way to test its functionality. So stay tuned!
