So a couple of weeks back in the professional development for histologists thread Lynne had asked about using exam soft for image based questions, and Jim had shared his suggestion for embedding a pdf file into the exam. We use Exam Soft at Drexel and routinely utilize images within our exam. They are saved as attachments to each question and can be clicked on to enlarge. We use them in MCQ and fill in the blank type questions. Exam soft eliminates our ability to use virtual slides on our exams, however. So we utilize them for mystery slide exercises in lab - these are generally group exercises, so unfortunately not a way to discern individual performance.
