I recently started teaching dental students in a systems based histology course and found that they were missing out on a critical resource that I had when studying histology. Ira Telford's Look-alikes in Histology (Upjohn Company, 1985) was extremely helpful as a student, but this book is now out of print and somewhat difficult to find.
I developed a web-linked powerpoint presentation that details much of what Dr. Telford covered in his book, but with new images, enhanced descriptions and additional look-alike comparisons from images available through various universities' open histology websites. I have made this resource available through MedEdPortal's iCollaborative at
https://www.mededportal.org/icollaborative/resource/2374 This is not a peer-reviewed presentation, but I believe that it is clear and accurate. I would welcome any feedback or suggestions.
