I am involved in teaching anatomical sciences across a mixture of health professions. My background in physical therapy allows me to incorporate my clinical experience into teaching. I have collaborated on clinical anatomy curriculum with clinical departments including PM&R, OB-GYN, Emergency Medicine and Dental Medicine.
My primary area of research is medical and anatomical education with a focus on the use of technology in both the classroom and laboratory as well as the incorporation of active-learning pedagogy to enhance participation and performance.
In addition to my current research focus, I have previously studied traumatic brain injury with a focus on the role(s) that membrane-bound matrix metalloproteinases play in the process of reactive synaptogenesis.
